Overview
Version 3 builds on the features of the original MEXA-7000, incorporating new analyzers, new sample handling techniques, and extended controller functions.Measures raw and CVS-diluted exhaust gases from all vehicle and engine types for basic R&D, model certification, quality testing, and durability. Includes up to 10 analyzers in a single, compact cabinet to measure THC, CO, CO2, O2, NO/NOx, HC, N2O, SO2, CH4, and EGR-CO2 over a wide dynamic range. The system is configurable for: - Emissions from gasoline, diesel, or alternative fuel engines.
- Special applications such as SULEV testing and fuel cell development.
- Flexible engine testing arrangements
- NEW! Fast-response direct measurement.
Modular sampling and analysis components provide flexibility and expandability in system configuration. Low sample flow requirements minimize operational costs and allow testing of engines with minimal exhaust output. With over 3500 units installed and operational, MEXA-7000 is the world-standard for exhaust emissions testing.

- Related regulations for other countries
Heavy duty truck and bus - EPA FTP
- ESC (OIGA)
- EURO III and IV -- ETC (FIGE Transient)
- ECE-R49
- JE05
Non-Road and Marine Features- Modular components provide flexible system configuration.
- Compact cabinets fit in the smallest test cells.
- Small sample flow requirement - 9 to 13 L/min for cold systems; 11 to 15 L/min for heated systems - minimizes span gas usage and operational costs.
- Fast system response time minimizes alteration of the concentrations in the sample lines.
(Typical Td + T90 is 5 seconds or better with a 16-foot/5 meter sample line.) - Wide dynamic measurement range of the analyzers allows for
- Single-range operation
- Minimal span-gas usage
- Increased accuracy by minimizing or eliminating analog gain switching.
- Large selection of NOx analyzers (vacuum/atmospheric, hot/cold, and wet/dry/switchable between wet and dry) meet diverse testing requirements.
- Super-low emission (SLE) analyzers provide 2% of point accuracy down to 0.1 ppm for HC, NOx, and CH4 and down to 1 ppm for CO.
- Heated accessories for engine testing assure accurate results and flexibility in test-cell configuration.
- Main Control Unit provides easy touch-screen operation and maximum functionality.
- Links to a host computer via LAN, GP-IB, or AK RS-232/LAN.
- Includes three levels of user log-ons for system security.
